Darren started his banking career in 2017. He started out as a Teller and was promoted to Credit Analyst in 2019. In 2022, he accepted a Credit Analyst position with First State Bank in Athens, TX. Then in November of 2022, he was promoted to his current position of Assistant Vice President/Loan Officer.

Darren was born and raised in Houston, TX. He attended Texas A&M Commerce, where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree (BBA), majoring in finance. He and his wife, Sierra, live in Canton, TX. Darren enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
